~Lately ive been thinking a lot about what home means to me. Does my home have to be a house? Does it even have to be a place? When I see this defintion, and think of my place of refuge,  just one thing comes to mind; God.  When  i need refuge, protection, or just some love,  i love to look to God, because I know i will find all of the above. No matter where i am, when I am alone with God whether praying, or doing devotions, i feel like I'm at home. I feel like my fathers loving arms can be my place of residence when i need  it the most, and my refuge in the wildest of storms. And that is enough for me!

why?
The busy shopping mall?
The material obsessions?
The chaotic parties?
notsomuch.

the smiles.
the laughter.
the families.
the promise of a lifetime,
a life time that will last forever.
the best gift you could get.

Its the most wonderful time of the year.

So I'm a day late, at least a buck short.
 I've got no Chance to make this on my own.
I don't have it made, I'm nowhere near the shade .
will you step in this life and take ccontrol?

Are you still there and do you care about what I'm feeling now?
 I'd like to see what i could be without this holding meDown,
 but I'm too scared of taking this chance and failing.

So this is the most common verse ever right? I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when i say that I've been mindlessly reciting it since  like age four. But what we don't realize, is that this is the promise of a lifetime, all for us
God sent his one and only son, the perfect lamb, to come and live among us, in this sinful world, but remain perfect and pure, all for us.
But  we rejected this perfect child, this light unto the world, the best gift anyone could ask for. We rejected him, rejected his word, and his promises for us. We rejected him to the point that we crucified him. He was crucified on a cross, because we wanted this world, all for us.
But his death was our second chance. Because he died, we don't have too. Well maybe to this world, but, because of his death, we are promised eternal life, in a place of perfection. He died, so that we could live, completely selflessly. all for us.
And for this promise, can we not for once make this all about us? all about our worldly needs and desires? He did this all for us,
so i want to live all for him.

im looking for inspiration.
waiting for a hint of motivation.

And most of all, i want it to be for him
and his glory alone.

Christmas lists.

With Christmas coming, its soo easy to long for material things, and i often find myself thinking so much about what i want, or what would make me look so much better, and sometimes even complaining about a lack of stuff. Its so easy to forget that that the holiday are really about the birth of our savior. The king of kings, that was born in a manger, the most plain, not extravagant materialistic birth a child can have. And then he saved our lives. And he saved it so that we could have an eternity bout a gazillion times better than any material things we Can create now. but it seems like this holiday is being used instead, to show that his promise of eternity isn't good enough, so we need to have all we can on this earth. Christmas should be about the birth of a savior, and if anything, a reminder that we don't need material possessions to be happy. but here i am, writing a Christmas list.

--- Sooo i probably have the greatest friends ever.  I'm realizing lately, that theres no better feeling  than being with someone, and knowing you don't have to be anyone but yourself. Its an amazing feeling to be completely comfortable with  a person, because you know they've seen all sides of you, and still choose to be there one hundred percent of the time. I'm learning that friendship isn't about learning how to fit in, its about realizing theres a spot where you fit in perfectly. And that, is what i think I'm starting to find. =) ----

Just a star is all*

" so that you may become blameless and pure children of God without fault, in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky!"

this is probably my favorite verse as of right now. There are no words to describe the beauty of a star, and the way the light up the night sky. Without them, the night sky would just be dark and plain, rather than the oustandingly beautiful work of art, so obviously designed by our wonderful creator.

I feel like this verse is saying we can do the same for this world. So many people today are living for nothing, not seeing the eternity in heaven that God has prepared for those who live for him. This nothing  is dark and empty, like a sky with no stars. But as Christians, we know that this world is just the beginning, but never the less, it is a place to glorify his name. By living with purpose, that purpose being for him, we are lighting up this world, and making it more than just a dark place, full of corruption; but rather the absolutely amazing place, that God has given us to shine in.*


And anyways, who wouldn't want to be considered like a star?

I'm going to stop trying to figure out what my life is going to be like.

Every time I think ive got something figured out on my own,
God has this impressive way of letting me know who's boss.

And the best part is, he does it because he cares,
because he cares sooo much, and I know he only wants the best.

He knows his plan is in my best interest,
even when I forget that myself.

His love for me never ends, and i want him in charge.

"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that."-- James 4: 14-15

crazy.

this.life.is.crazy.

sometimes
              i forget
